i've opened it from the folder too, which does have resources and the updater, but that still does not work. i get a security when i view that site.

I've already looked throughout the threads to find any help... and none of them solve my problem. My launcher absolutely refuses to start, I just downloaded it today. I disabled my firewall, antivirus, etc. I tried running it in compatibility mode, and also tried installing the .NET framework or whatever, but I already had it installed.
