Although Alfira is not explicitly named, a community manager from Larian implied it was her by highlighting the temporary nature of the bard's involvement in response to fan excitement about her joining the party.

While many fans are excited about the possibility of having Alfira as a controllable companion, there is a downside. The teaser was part of the Dark Urge section of the patch preview, suggesting that Alfira might only join a Dark Urge protagonist. This is less than ideal, as her current role in a Durge playthrough leads to her untimely demise.
