Harrington 136 Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) Another day on the southern farms and its nature continues to amaze me, it doesn’t matter how much time I spend working along what it feels like my new family, the connection I feel everyday to the bugs, the water, earth and every single piece of nature I see, breath or hear in a daily basis brings me a feeling of peace and purpose that I have never felt before. At the beginning the idea of having only a hoe and sickle with the rules of "Do not over plow the fields, no weeding, don't flood the rice fields, no fertilizers, let the nature take control" felt like madness due the little experience I have from other places but as I observe and adapt to the land I feel empowered. The way the water laps the shores gently while we work the fields pleases me unlike any other thing in this world. I will spend my life here tending these crops.
